Ukraine – Ethiopia Digital Business Forum Held
Ambassador Mulu Solomon, Ethiopia’s non-resident ambassador to Ukraine based in Berlin, Germany, delivered remarks at the Ethiopia – Ukraine Busines Forum organized by the Ukraine – Ethiopia inter-parliamentary group and the Embassy of Ukraine in Ethiopia. The Ambassador highlighted Ethiopia’s untapped potential in the export of coffee, flowers, pulses, oil seeds, as well as leather and Leather products to Ukraine.
Thirteen (13) Ukrainian companies working in the Agriculture and Agro-processing, Pharmaceutical, transport and logistics sectors presented their products. The forum, held on April 5/2021 was attended by more than 27 Ukrainian companies including Hon. Sviatoslav Yurash – Head of Deputies’ group on inter-parliamentary relations with Ethiopia, Mr. Oleksandr Bosak – Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Ethiopia, Mrs. Kateryna Reznikova – Honorary Consul of Ukraine for the Republic of Djibouti, Mrs. Daria Zabolotnya – Secretary General of International Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine – ICC Ukraine and representatives from Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce.
Diplomatic relation between Ethiopia and Ukraine began in 1905 and the trade volume between the two countries has been steadily increasing with room for further improvement.
